It is Valentine’s weekend and Madison is leaving for winter camp so we all won’t be together on V-day – so………we had our RED party tonight! I have been reading this really cool blog called: www.whittakerwoman.typepad.com. She has the best ideas for family night. She inspired me to do our RED party. Her princess party was darling, but, I don’t think Madison will be going for that – let alone Jake! :0) Her kids are a little younger than mine. (I will attempt to put her blog on my blog roll and her husband’s blog.) We all wore red – as much as we could – and we ate red food. Hawaiian Punch, Red Vines, Berry Applesause, Hot Dogs with Ketchup and cookies and cake with red sprinkles. Madison even broke out my red Christmas tree. The girls dressed their stuffed animals in red too! They were so excited!! It really took very minimal effort and they just loved it! We watched “Space Buddies” and now the kids are all sleeping together since there is no school tomorrow!! WooHoo!! My favorite family night from Whittakerwoman was her melted snowman night. You have to go check it out. There is even a video on her husband’s blog that is linked. (They adopted a little boy from Korea and have videos about that, Linda. I know you are being Wonder Woman and all, but you would enjoy them in all of your spare time!)

What a cute idea and you all looked cool in your red outfits. Wasn’t Linda’s blog funny. We sure had fun. Larisa is such a good dancer – her part was great too. Hope your Valentines came today. Thanks for your cute one and the gifts. I’ve read some of the letters already so I know I will enjoy the book. The kids are taking us out for dinner tomorrow night for our 51st. The kids are taking us to the Olive Garden for dinner tonight for our 51st. That yr. is hard to believe. I liked how we celebrated last year with all of us there. Comment by rixgal February 25, 2009 @ 5:21 amOK. I usually do ALL red or ALL hearts for valentines day, but not this year. Some great friends were here visiting for the weekend. Their daughter is Lauren’s best friend and it was her 10th Bday so we celebrated Bday instead of Valentines that day. I must say though, I’m not nearly as creative as you. Our usual family nights are either a movie together or a game of Cadoo.
